TRIVIGLIANO
Face to face with nature
Trivigliano is a small village in the Ernici Mountains. It overlooks Lake Canterno, which has karst origins. Today it is a natural park where visitors do some birdwatching and study bird behaviour while they are on the beautiful bike and pedestrian trail that runs along the lake. The first historical mention of Trivigliano dates back to the 10th century. You’ll be able to see one of the three towers that remains of the city wall. Near the lake it is always interesting to visit the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Stella. Just opposite is Monte Corniano, where you’ll be able to see the "Cave of Corniano", with its stalagmite formations.
